New Seminar Series at the Fields Institute

We have launched a new bi-weekly seminar series, that will cover advanced topics in machine learning. The seminar will run every other Thursday from noon-2pm at the Fields Institute. It will feature a mix of international invited speakers and local speakers from both academia and industry.

NVIDIA Pioneers of AI Award


NVIDIA nominated the machine learning group at UofT (and other 9 universities in the world) as “Pioneers of AI”. The award comes with their new super computer for deep learning, the DGX-1.

Congratulations to Michael Wainberg, Victoria Dean and Omar Wagih on their summer projects, which used machine learning to understand the genetics of disease (3rd, 4th and 5th from left).
